Cook & Look  - Filled Pasta Making Event 

What better way to break the ice, than by participating in a cooking event with up to 15 other like minded people? 

• Meet new people in a relaxed and friendly environment. 
• Learn a new cooking skill - this evening's event is "Filled Pasta".  (Suitable for vegetarians) 
• Sit with the rest of the group and eat what you have prepared whilst enjoying a glass of wine.
  

Details of the evening’s schedule.  

On arrival at the venue you will be greeted by one of our hosts and offered a welcome drink.  You will be registered and given a name badge before being introduced to the other guests, where you will get a chance to talk and mingle before the main cooking event starts.  You will all have this cookery learning experience in common so you can focus on talking about that as a conversation starter and an ice-breaker.

Even if it's your first visit to one of our events or if you are very shy, you'll quickly feel at ease because we always have a host on hand to ensure that the mood is relaxed and that everyone is included.

Once you have washed your hands and put on your apron, you will be ready for the main event to begin... 

We will help expel the myth that making fresh pasta is difficult.  You will firstly watch a trained chef show you how to make pasta dough before getting a chance to make your own.  Whilst the dough is resting and you are sipping your glass of wine, you will mix together roasted butternut squash with ricotta for the filling, or pea & mint with ricotta filling. (Fillings are subject to seasonal variations and will always be vegatarian). 

Now comes the really fun part where you will get to feed your pasta dough through the rollers of the pasta making machine until it’s the correct shape and thickness.  You will then be shown how to make a few different shapes before having a go yourself!  Once your pasta shapes are made you will be shown how make a simple and delicious sauce to go with the pasta before sitting down with the rest of the group to eat your culinary creation.

You will work in pairs, but you won't stay with the same partner all evening, so by the end of the night when you sit down to eat, you should hopefully have met with everyone.

These events are tailored specifically for Soul Mate Events, which will enable you to partner up with at least two other guests of the opposite sex, working interactively to make your dish.  So you can be assured that you won't get stuck with one person for the whole evening, and if you like someone who has had to move on, then you can join them again when it's time to eat.  It's a great way to quickly get to know someone without all the awkward silences and nervousness, because you won't get the chance to do anything other than have fun!

• Up to 15 other like minded single people 
• A welcome drink and name badge upon registration 
• A cookery lesson taught by a trained chef 
• All the ingredients for you to  recreate the same dish under the watchful eye of the chef  
• A chance to work with 2/3 different people with a new person each side of you after each change
• A fun evening with other like minded singles
  
• Sit down together as a group to eat your culinary creation 

Starting from  £45.00 per person, it’s great value for an evening out.  The interactive element of the evening takes your mind off the fact that it is a "singles event" and allows people to relax and act more naturally.  It also takes the guesswork out of knowing who is potentially single, so if there is someone there that catches your eye, then if you are feeling brave you can make the first move!

You can exchange numbers with your fellow guests on the evening, or if you feel too shy to do that, let us know and we will be able to pass on your details to the person (s) you are interested in. 

You may or may not meet the person of your dreams on one of our events, but you will certainly be one step closer to doing so as well as having a fun evening.

9.30pm  10% discount on any purchases made in the shop
